What’s New with Ford ProTM Software? July 2025 Edition

In July’s monthly Ford ProTM software updates, we put more control in fleet managers' hands with new intelligent features like the Top Speed Limiter and Acceleration Limiter — now available for 22MY+ F-150® Lightning®. These features enhance efficiency, and may help reduce vehicle wear and tear caused by driving at higher speeds and during hard acceleration.

 

Also new, the Ford Pro Telematics Drive App1183 map screen, available to Ford Pro Telematics software1184 subscribers, now provides quicker access to remote lock/unlock and start/climate controls, streamlining daily operations.

 

Together, these updates give fleet managers smarter tools to drive more efficient operations.

Take Speed Control to the Next Level

 

Fleet Managers can now enhance control over their operations with the new Top Speed Limiter. This intelligent feature, accessible through Ford Pro Telematics Software, remotely establishes and enforces maximum speed thresholds for eligible fleet vehicles.

 

The Top Speed Limiter enhances efficiency, and may help reduce vehicle wear and tear caused by driving at higher speeds and during hard acceleration.

 

Enabled through an Over-the-Air update (OTA), this feature is available for the 22MY+ Ford F-150® Lightning®. The Ford Pro Top Speed Limiter will roll out to additional vehicles at a later date.

Control Acceleration, Boost Efficiency

 

Ford Pro is introducing a new way for fleet managers to improve driver behavior with the new Acceleration Limiter. This intelligent feature, accessible through Ford Pro Telematics Software, enables fleet managers to remotely enable an acceleration rate limit for fleet vehicles.

 

The Acceleration Limiter enhances efficiency, and may help reduce vehicle wear and tear caused by hard acceleration.

 

Notably, full vehicle performance remains available during such demanding conditions as towing or driving up hills.

 

Enabled through an Over-the-Air update (OTA), this feature is available for the 22MY+ Ford F-150® Lightning®. The Ford Pro Top Speed Limiter will roll out to additional vehicles at a later date.

Control Right from the Map Screen

 

The Ford Pro Telematics Drive map screen has been enhanced to provide more convenient access to control functions. Fleet Managers can now choose between the vehicle details screen or the enhanced map screen to access remote lock/unlock1178 and remote start/climate1179 functions. Users who want to know the location of the vehicle and enable a lock/unlock command can do that without leaving the map screen — improving vehicle security, increasing driver comfort, and making it easier to manage a fleet. 

 

Available globally to all Ford Pro Telematics Software subscribers.

Locate, Assign, Manage — All in One App

 

The vehicle search feature within the Ford Pro Telematics Drive App is enhanced to provide fleet managers and drivers a more efficient and consistent way to locate vehicles, improving overall fleet management and operational readiness.

 

This enhancement streamlines the search experience by making it easier to locate vehicles. It prioritizes user-friendly identifiers such as vehicle name and license plate over the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Additionally, it introduces new search criteria, including model, license plate, and assigned driver. This ensures a unified and consistent search experience for both fleet managers and drivers in the mobile app, making it simpler to manage fleets, locate vehicles on a map, or assign vehicles to drivers.

 

Available in all markets supported by the Ford Pro Telematics Drive App.
