Large fleets with high-volume orders can depend on Ford Pro dealers to ensure that vehicles get the necessary modifications to meet your needs.

The dealer orders the base vehicle and ships it to an upfitter near the Ford factory as soon as it's built, ensuring quick and efficient modifications. From there it re-enters the Ford Transportation Network to be delivered.

These efficiencies help Ship Through streamline logistics, providing for a fast and efficient upfit.

How It Works

1. Dealer Orders the Base Vehicle

Your local Ford Pro dealer can help you purchase the base vehicle and then specify a ship through upfitter near the Ford factory. You can also nominate a specific upfitter if you have one mind.

2. Upfitter Gets the Base Vehicle

Work with your preferred upfitter to set specifications, pricing, and that your order size qualifies for ship through. Once Ford builds the base vehicle, it will be transported to the upfitter to be modified.

3. Upfitter Modifies It

At the upfitter’s facility, the vehicle is customized to meet your specific requirements.

4. Upfitted Vehicle Rejoins the Ford Transportation Network

Once the modifications are complete, the upfitter transports your vehicle back to the producing plant, reintegrating it into the Ford Transportation Network.

5. Ford Pro™ Delivers Your Upfit

The upfitted vehicle is delivered through the Ford Transportation Network to you or your dealer.771,772
