In an Accident? Here's What to Do.

If a driver is involved in a collision, make sure they take these immediate steps:

Step 1

Move the vehicle to a safe location, if possible.

Step 2

Turn on hazard lights to stay visible (SOS Post-Crash Alert System™ may do this automatically).

Step 3

Check for injuries and call 911 (or use 911 Assist® from the vehicle touchscreen if mobile paired).

Step 4

Document the incident: notes, photos, and information exchange.

Did You Know? If your fleet is subscribed to Ford Pro™ Telematics, crash detection may already have triggered a notification alert — providing you with incident location, status, and sensor data. Also the dealer gets a readout of the parts you need and your vehicle's history, so they can plan ahead and get you back on the road faster. In addition to that, if your vehicles are also equipped with dashcams and they are connected to Ford Pro™ Telematics, footage may be available to support claim documentation and repair coordination.

Did You Know? If your fleet is subscribed to Ford Pro™ Fleet Management Software, our team can help get your vehicles back on the road quickly by handling post-collision processes on your behalf and working to secure the maximum recovery amount for your damages.927

Why Go With Original Ford Parts?

You chose a Ford for a reason. So why compromise on repairs? Original Ford parts are the only option designed to restore the structural integrity and safety standards your vehicle was built to meet. They are backed by the same Ford research, engineering, and testing as the original build.

Go with the original and restore your vehicle to its pre-collision condition. Plus, keep in mind that the use of aftermarket parts could impact warranty coverage and resale value.

Insurance and Certified Parts for Your Fleet

You can’t predict a collision, but you can be prepared for what comes next. You have the right to request OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts for your repair and to choose a certified center to complete the work. Ask your insurer if your current policy covers them. If it doesn’t, your provider may offer options to add that coverage. With Ford Pro™ Insure, OEM parts are covered by default.

Pro Tip
: When you take advantage of other Ford Pro™ services like Telematics or a Commercial Line of Credit, you may be eligible for additional discounts that lower your premiums.720
